Oketo Japanese Express in Largo

This place is OK for a quick lunch or dinner. The sitting place inside is limited (not sure if they have outside sitting).

I’ve tried to come to this place several times. When I finally make it there long before their closing time, the girl greets me at the door with “We decided to close early today, I won’t take your order.” No sign on the door to alert anyone to the early closure, not a sorry or even an actual reason other than they just didn’t want to. If your hours are posted, follow them. I won’t be trying to come back here again.

Love this place! Very refreshing in this area with so few good dining choices. Prices are fair and the food is enjoyable. Kind of hard to find as it's around back but worth stopping in.

This place was clean. The food was presented well but no flavor. One of the items I had was fried gyoza. It was deep-fried rather than pan-fried more than likely from frozen. I also have a sushi roll with shrimp tempura topped with salmon. This sushi was nothing but a ball of mush very weird fish flavor. Main dish chicken and shrimp hibachi, was very lacking as well the shrimp was very tough to bite through and the chicken was hard and again with no flavor. Lastly I love water with my meal but any restaurant should serve filtered water, it is 2019. Not the case here. That was pure tap water. If the prices was much cheaper I would expect this level a food but the prices are high for the quality of food that I got. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

We love this family owned and operated sushi restaurant. We always order their onion soup appetizers, shrimp & udon soup, volcano sushi roll, Alaskan sushi roll, & Mexican sushi roll. We eat in & we order for pickup. We've always been happy with the food & service.

I go here almost weekly and I have yet to be disappointed, even when I stray from the usual favorites I am happy with my purchase. The atmosphere is relaxed and tranquil and the service is wonderful and attentive.

I LOVE this restaurant! I was so sad when the Back of the Mill Cafe closed but when this restaurant opened in its place it quickly became one of my favorites! They have the best egg rolls I’ve ever tasted, they make great sushi and you get a ton of food in their bento boxes. The individuals who run and work at this establishment are very pleasant and accommodating and really make you feel like a valued customer. I wish they were still open on Sundays but I’ll gladly eat their food any day of the week. The inside of the restaurant is very simple and clean. I only have good things to say about this place, and I’ve never had a bad meal! Also during the pandemic they switched to take-out only and I feel confident that when I pick my food up that I am safe and they are taking appropriate measures to ensure health and safety. I saw them cleaning the pickup area immediately after I exited. All in all this place is great!

Literally never! We have tried numerous times to come to this place and they seem to just close whenever they want to, screw the times posted.We walked in 1 hour before before their posted closing time and the idiot at the counter says “We closed early we are not going to take your order”!What the hell is that!?Completely ridiculous!I will never ever try again!

The restaurant is very small, but don't let that stop you from trying it! It is one of my favorite places, although I am mostly a take-out girl. I call ahead and it is ready when I arrive. I haven't had anything that I wouldn't order again.

WARM SUSHI!!!!! EVEN THOUGH I WALKED IN AND ORDERED IT.. WOW. Never got sick but... Ewwwww man..

They have good food but they lock the doors before their closing time and they never have boba, which is the only reason I go there. I have asked for boba the last 5 times I’ve been there and they never have it. Take it off the menu if you can’t serve it.

Live around the corner and had never eaten there. Had their chicken and steak hibachi with fried rice and their soup today. Delicious and affordable. Will definitely be back, and regularly.

Food is great and portions are good. Can be hard to find since the entrance is on the back of the building. Dining area is very small, they do a lot of takeout business. Usually quiet and dim inside, date type atmosphere.

My wife and I love this place! We've eaten here dozens of time! Their fried rice is the best I've ever had. They have a special brown ginger sauce that comes with the steak fried rice but I eat it on everything so good! My wife loves the tuna roll because it is only tuna, no veggies or avocado or anything else. Just great fresh 🐟 Miso soup is tofu based not mushroom based which I prefer as well. Large portions! Overall everything is amazing 🙌

Shouldn't have waited 5 years to try this place. Haven't found any Asian food as good in this area. Beef fried rice was tasty and nice portion. Hibachi next.

Don't sleep on this place! Although tucked away, I think this brings a lot more of a peaceful environment to the area. The sushi is by far one of the best that I've found in the area, and all at a great price. Best part is they do to go orders!

Good food for the price!

This is a good place for some boba tea and noodles. They say they serve sushi, but there are only some cooked rolls on the menu. The only raw item is the alaska roll. Regardless, its not necessarily a sushi place if they don't serve actual sushi or sashimi. But that doesn't keep me from going back there for their homemade udon noodles. My favorite dish is the stir fried udon with a seafood medley.

This is my first time trying shushi here. The Philadelphia rolls are good with spicy mayo on the side. I also ordered the miso soup with a side salad. The soup was tasty I wasn't a big fan of the salad just iceburg lettuce with strips of carrots with a ginger dressing that in my opinion wasn't good. However my overall experience was nice the staff is friendly and my food was fresh I will order here again maybe next I'll try the steak hibachi. if you're in the area and in the mood for Japanese check them out.

This place is by far thy best!! I have had sushi from around the world and this place is by far my favourite destination. There is so much to choose from and the portions are amazing!! I go at less once a week (all my friends love it) wish I could give them more stars!! 100 out of 10 by far!!!

Great food! My sisters loved it, and the bento boxes are huge!! For like 13$, this is a ton of food and it's amazing! Everyone there is so great and always so kind

The food was great! It looks a little sketchy at first, but it was absolutely delicious. The clear soup... amazing. I got steak hibachi... also amazing. The prices are unbeatable.

Don’t bothering eating inside when their children, especially the youngest is there. My husband and I have been to this location many time to eat inside and have witnessed their children being there as it is a husband and wife team. However when you’re waiting for your food and the child continues to get loud and has been spoken to by the mother on more than 5 occasions and continues to get even louder, it’s not worth the money eat there and listen to him.

I’ve been eating here since it opened and have never really had a horrible experience until the past couple times I’ve ate in or took my food Togo. The food isn’t horrible but tastes unsanitary and not fresh at all. The environment is the worst part due to the owners kids always in there running around in THEIR DIAPERS and screaming with their tablets with the volume turned all the way up. The place closes at 9 but stops allowing customers to eat in at 8:00 as I have sat in there at around 730-745 watching people walk out and she’s denying them to eat in and taking Togo orders only. Never again will I eat here as it is just very unpleasant over all.

I love supporting family business and this is definitely run by a family. They are always kind, and the sushi is really good! It is my sons absolute favorite and the kid loves sushi!

Been coming here for about 5 years and the sushi is always incredible. I recommend this place to everyone I know and nobody is ever disappointed.

I love this place. It’s really fast and convenient with the lowest sushi prices around. They’re decent too, I’m very picky with my sushi, the fishy taste u get when it’s not fresh makes me gag and this place doesn’t do that to me!

Love this place. We have been eating here for about 4 years. Quick, delicious and hits the spot everytime #sushi or #hibachi strongly recommend you try the take out. Dining area is small but we love it. They are so busy we sometimes can't wait for the sushi. However with the wide variety on the menu..there is something for everyone . Tonight I had the steak hibachi.

This was wonderful. Not only was it yummy, but very clean place and the portions were great. I had the chicken bento and typically they're small gimmicky things but here it felt like a proper lunch and I never expected to get that much good. Fried rice was so good the sauce that's in there is crazy good.

Love this place! We’ve been ordering from them for years. They know who we are now and they always have such delicious meals. I also appreciate their awareness of my allergies and how accommodating they are.

Best true shrimp tempura and all of Largo! Many places Say tempura but it’s breaded or too heavy or too greasy this is true tempura if you’re looking for a great tempura try Oketo.

Great food, quick and efficient service, huge portions, and very reasonable prices. Didn't care for the bubble tea.

We love this little gem! Everything has always been fresh and delightful. Sometimes our family gets Oketo take-out twice a week! YUM

LOVED THIS PLACE awesome portions really good too. Sushi was great and the yakisoba the kids loves. The service was also really nice she was very kind and welcoming! It was also a fast pickup and easy to find!!
